Abilities

High Intellect - From years of battle experience as a chunin, Shidari is quite the tactician, strategist, and knows quite a bit about the Shinobi World in general. As a chunin, he is required to have at least a basic knowledge of all basic components of a shinobi. However, his knowledge personally extends far beyond natural capabilities of any one chunin. His intellect alone could be considered at the status of a single jounin, for he is able to give detailed information about a multitude of kekkei genkai, clans, shinobi tactics, notable past figures, and even battle statistics.

High Chakra Pool - In order for him to even be capable of naturally using his clan's unique kekkei genkai, his chakra reserves are naturally required to be quite larger than most. Although not as dense and large as that of a jinchuriki or kage, Shidari's chakra reserves equally match that of a Jounin. He is able to use a multitude of Jutsu that involve his primary and secondary chakra natures without exhausting himself or possibly causing harm to his being.

Weaponry Specialist: In order to make up for his lacking skills as a combatant, Shidari made himself a notable user of weaponry. His skill lies in the same range of tenten (pre-shippuden), and his aim is nearly absolute. He carries two scrolls that house his weapons, and in a similar fashion to Tenten, he uses them accordingly.

Personal Techniques

Lava Style Practitioner - As he is still quite young, Shidari has not developed entirely complete control over his Lava Style Kekkei Genkai. He is unable to use Jutsu that require an extremely high level of chakra concentration, or potentially have too many requirements to use. In short terms, he is able to produce medium to large sized pools of lava, and extremely small sized bullets of lava. It is quite easy to see that this is extremely liable to change, for he, as a shinobi, will develop to become all the more formidable.

Vapor Style Intermediate - Shidari's vapor style intermediacy is what currently makes him formiddable. Although he is unable to produce vapor in any shape or form he so pleases, he is however able to produce an extremely massive cloud of the unique nature kekkei genkai, thus subduing any opponent under the pressure of his vapor style technique. Aside from said cloud creating ability, he has no other forms to produce the vapor within (at least until his becomes adept at shape manipulation).

Chakra Nature Manipulation - Naturally, Shidari was born with the ability to manipulate water style chakra, and born with fire and earth as secondary chakra natures. He is able to manipulate water style chakra with relative ease, able to produce nearly any technique that he has been taught with no strain at all. As it pertains to using fire and earth chakra natures, Shidari is a novice. His use of the two natures is very insignificant considering the fact that he is unable to use as many techniques within the categories as he can with water. However, it is not unnatural for him to use the two natures in desperate times, for he is able to pull off at least a jutsu or two from each.
