First of all, sorry for being half-a month late...anyways:
1.Random bloodline distribution means that about half of all players with bloodlines will stop playing before their bloodline uncovers...so essentially half of all bloodlines created wont ever show up..now lets assume the starting player base is 50000,that means out of 10 people who'd get a bloodline, only 5 will continue playing till it reveals.
2.Its pretty common knowledge that majority of all players are playing solo and thus they wont have anyone to pass DNA to,except random players...some ppl are also selfish and will keep the bloodline for themselves so out of those 5,only 3 will pass the DNA...1 of them will probably fail and that leaves 2 out of 50 000 people creating clans...so 80% of effort used for creating BL's is wasted.
So assume those 2 pass the DNA and suceed, and those they give the BL to also pass it to others...after some time literally half of all players would have a bloodline and it would not be rare at all.
So how about:
-Limiting clan members to 100 or so.
-Adding a clan DNA bank so even if majority of clan members die,as long as at least 1 remains they can recover the DNA and revive the clan.If the clan is wiped out however, the attackers get all the DNA and thus get that bloodline.
-Giving Bloodlines as large event rewards in addition to the slim chance
-Players rolling for a bloodline only when they're at a rank when they awaken it so no bloodlines are wasted.
-Making clan leader's DNA have 100% of giving the BL,50% for people he gave the BL and 25% for all others,so the BL's arent wasted by that.
