Katana Model.

Hello I know i had an issue with the model, but i'm good. So here are the pictures of the katana, A full body shot (missing handle wraps) and the handle with the wraps. If anyone wants to help me improve the material and shading, PLEASE EMAIL ME TO DO SO. Don't worry, this is my website, no ads nothing. All it will show is a file with 2 pictures. That way i don't have to compress the image and make it smaller. Enjoy.

Thanks. Yeah I kinda wanted a bigger blade than a swift katana style sword. Bulkier = more force behind it.

Oh I like it I wouldn't say it's a traditional katana per se but it does look like a medieval type sword

If i shall be honest:i dont like it.
Reminds me more of medieval swords than a katana,the handle seems too short,and the blade should be a bit longer aswell.
The handle bothers me the most,actually,the first picture looks a bit better to me.

OK. Im working right now on a naginata. Hopefully if its good enough , slo might take it. if not, well more practice for me. also russianbrian is gonna help me with it since he's a pro at google sketchup and modelling.

But keep up the work you will get better, but another thing j see in the model, did you use brush to try and create detail on the blade cause I think it messed it up, as you can see the mesh of the blade on the sword is messed up

no i didnt, i actually subdivided the sides of the blade (the indentation in the side of the sword) and used scale to push them in, but noticing it now, i dont know why that happens. I guess i must have done something. But hey, consider it wear and tear. But thanks for the input. I'm working on a yari and a friend wants me to make a ninja star, so gonna do that. p.s. the ninja star isnt gonna look remotely close to the ninja star that will be in this game.
