How will Genjutsus work??

I'm very interested how the genjutsus will work and will there be some that lock you in place for a veeeeery long time (5 min.) I'd like this but only if this is usable after you lose a certain amount of health. Also should have a decent cool down time....Not to long... not to spammable.

I would like to know if Vreg has any input on this especially since genjutsu will have a big part in Shinobi Life Online considering perma death is an option. It would give a big variance of effects such as extortion and negotiation (players trying to keep themselves from dying by giving information away)

Genjutsu will be like Taijutsu, something available to everyone regardless of chakra nature. Everyone will easily be able to master stuff like getting out of a genjutsu, but casting advanced genjutsu will require lots of training. What type of advanced genjutsu we'll have has yet to be decided.

Apart from that, advanced genjutsu will be a risky matter for the user itself, as using it as an offensive tool will mean that this user is specialized in genjutsu. Being specialized enough in genjutsu to be able to use it as an offensive tool means that either this genjutsu user has been playing for years and never died or lacks some serious skill in ninjutsu. If he has been playing for years, managed to stay alive all that time and train ninjutsu to an advanced level as well (this would be very difficult because of the genjutsu specialization), then you're in trouble. But I'm guessing in most cases this won't be the scenario and the genjutsu user will be specialized in genjutsu only combined with some very weak ninjutsu and taijutsu as well.

Sneak attacks would result in the genjutsu user's favour, catching you off guard. But if you're aware of him and ready to counter his genjutsu, he'll be at a big disadvantage. You could easily take him down with some good ninjutsu.

Hmmm that's very interesting. This game is probably gonna inspire a lot of team or "squad" cooperation seeing as actually dying is a part of the world. So most people will realize having another person or a few other people along with you will be ideal (especially genjutsu users or support types) . The few people that run solo will either be incredibly skilled or incredibly stupid, haha. I like it!

After defeating someone you get the option to kill the person, that's when they can beg for their lives.

To be honest i don't think I would just train Genjutsu, if someone knows how to counter genjutsu and im bad at ninjutsu and not the best at taijutsu im in a bad position.

Yeah I'm not going to. Imma train NinJutsu TaiJutsu and then lastly GenJutsu.

I go 100% support, and i just go genjutsu becouse i need some distraction
