I really like the render you picked on your sig Hari, the red-ish clone effect looks good as well.
However I would probably get rid of the "sign" under it :p

Wonder if doing friendly competitions such as SOTW (signature of the week) will be any fun / encouragement for people to get more in to GFX.

For whoever doesn't know SOTW's, basically someone who hosts it gives a theme, people make a signature in that theme and send that to the host.
The host then puts them all nameless in a poll, and people vote on which they think is the best one.
