Tree jumping mechanic

I apologize for the thread spam once again.

I was wondering how tree jumping would work then I realized that landing the jump would be tricky as tree branches are so small. I thought that maybe when you were in air a little bar with a green area would come up and it would have a dot that moved around it. You would have to press a key when the dot was in the green area to correctly land the jump.
The bar would look something like the Fable blacksmithing one.

Hmm..... unless you mean BIG trees, It's kinda unnecessary..... cause people would be jumping on trees in towns and stuff, and everytime they wanted to jump on a tree, they'd have to do this...... maybe only for trees outside villages, so that ambushing someone isn't too.... well, easy. and if you miss, and you were trying to land on a big tree, you lose some health maybe? cause of the height? idk >.<

This can be a very good way of fast-travel. There would be certain points on the map where you can start jumping from one tree to another, you choose a path and the fast-travel starts with this mii-game that you proposed.

I think there should be a button to start tree jumping. So if you stand on a branch, it would have "start tree jumping sequence" or something and you would have to press a button. While in this stage, you can be seen and get hit off by other ninja. When you do get hit off, you immediately come out of the sequence and fall down. For example:

Maybe when the player first encounter a suitable tree they can adjust there speed of jumping, this will consume chakra.
