I think everybody would prefer this but for some reasons it was establish that it will have realistic interface, textures etc.

We're not doing anime graphics simply because I prefer realistic graphics.

Later on in the full MMORPG if you guys have got nothing better to do and/or as a side projet could you possibly create a anime-like graphics map so people could have two options? It would take time, but i'm sure it would be worth it as it would probably make most people happy.

No, have you ever heard of a game that has 2 graphics modes? You haven't because having 2 graphics modes for a single game is the same has having to make that game twice, twice the resources, twice the work effort, twice everything, as if making it once is not a big deal.

Why the hell would anyone want #2?
I want SLO to feel realistic, anime graphics in an MMO would be dumb and make the game worse and much less immersive.

@Shivraj Yeah, I believe Vreg wants to be able to add in some more in-depth options later on. I'm not entirely sure if he'll have some basics by DeathMatch or not, it'd probably be a bit much to ask for right now.

There will be adjustable graphics for sure, otherwise you really will need an 800+ dollar computer to run this effectively.

In terms of graphics, we would like to get something close to Black Desert Online which has the following requirements:



Nowadays they don't sell GTX 650s, they got replaced by the newer gen GTX 750s. These cards start at like $130 (last checked September 18th, 2015). On the offer below you are even able to get $30 of rebate, which means the card ends up costing you only $100. You would need at least need one of them to get an optimal experience in future SLO, optimal meaning high FPS at good graphical settings.



Anything under GTX 650s will still be able to run SLO, but to get a high frame rate you're going to have to lower graphical settings and deal with bad graphics.

If you can afford it however, getting the newer generation GTX 950s is definitely what you should do as they only cost a little more but offer like 40% performance improvement.



You can always go for even better cards which come at great value/price like the GTX 960 (starts at $200) or the GTX 970 (starts at $320). For comparison, a GTX 970 offers like 280% more performance than a GTX 750 TI.
