I've always had a thing for the "Wandering Warrior" archetype.

Description of the character's personality: Ilex is typically a calm, level-headed person. He can also be described as carefree and a little cynical. Generally soft-spoken in nature, Ilex does not typically engage in group conversations unless he feels his input is necessary or if he simply wants to for whatever reason. In combat, Ilex prefers to take a more analytic approach, attempting to devise strategies rather than rushing into combat, though, his strategies don't always work out, much to Ilex's frustration. He values skill and versatility above most anything else in battle and hates when a victory is "handed to him", such as when an opponent lets him win, as he feels that those kinds of victories are not truly earned. He also has a tendency to taunt his opponents, but only once he has gained a considerable upper hand.
Something also noteworthy, is that Ilex has something of a "stylish" fighting style, that is, he likes to have a certain level of flair to his attacks, and his jutsus in particular.

Description of the character's history: Ilex was born and raised in the Hidden Ocean village. He became a chunin at the age of 8, and was eventually asked to join the ANBU, and he accepted. He has since become an accomplished ninja skilled in general combat, assassination, infiltration, espionage, and stealth; and through this, has also completed a respectable amount of S-rank missions.
Note: The "flames" on his coat are meant to be waves, like the ocean.

It should also be mentioned that Ilex does indeed use the type of sword that ANBU typically use.
(I'm not quite sure what to call it as I am not certain of what type of sword it actually is.)
