Introduction / Re: A wild Ara appeared!
« on: July 24, 2017, 23:44:22 »

Well I love all 3 of them.. but my first starter was bulbasaur. I just love to spam poison/sleep powder or stun spore >:'D

Mega-venu is pretty OP, one of the strongest starters ever. But Charizard has a special place in my heart so charmander is my fav starter. Was also my first one when I was like 5yo. For some reason I liked him even though I couldn't understand a single word in english.

GIIIIIRRRLRLRLLLLL!!!1!1!1! So the legend is true, they exist :OOO
Oh chosen one, please allow me to welcome you to our humble community.

Kinda cliche but I had to, sorry xD

Welcome and to answer your question, yes I do want a cookie, you can confirm I love cookies from one of the first threads I made named "pussy moves" (misleading title, don't worry).
Also since you like Pokemon: bulbasaur, charmander or squirtle?

I don't know exactly what Vreg has in store for rogue players but from the path the game development is taking I'd say it'd look much like losing citizenship from a country irl + a couple of things specific from the game.
By no means is the next list of pros and cons confirmed or official, just my point of view considering my experience here:

Pros:
  • No taxes
  • No obligations towards any village (missions, protecting the people in case of attack, village rules, etc)
  • Freedom to go anywhere at any time, no permits required
  • Freedom to choose sketchy or even full criminal jobs
  • Joining organizations banned from the village
  • Changing villages (I guess it will be possible? although under specific circumstances only ofc)
  • Fame? I guess some people might be into that

Cons:
  • No safe zones, at least no big permanent safe zones, I'm guessing some inns will provide that with decent guarding but these will probably need to be rented so this is a big con
  • No easy training boost although I'm also guessing there'll be some sort of rogue "sensei" like orochimaru did with sasuke but it'll definitely be much harder to find those
  • Can't work officially in a village or have any of the perks of living in a village such as a home, wife/wedding, etc
  • Fame, negative this time because your name will be on a blacklist, you might have troubles with random people that recognize you
  • Bounty hunters and anbu might be actively tracking you down, the never-ending run for your life
  • If you became rogue because of criminal activity you might have troubles joining another allied village
  • No rank increase, if you're a rogue genin you'll stay genin until you're accepted in a village
  • No missions to gain sweet rating and gold
  • Some orgs might not want you because they work closely with a kage/village

That's what I came up with that made sense for me. As for the time margin for a rogue to be in another village, that doesn't make any sense, should be way harder to blend in like AC2/AC1 in notorious mode except the guards won't forget you after you dive head first into a bale of hay, they'll keep looking and maybe even ask people if they saw you until they find you. I'm also assuming guards will be NPC so they can dispatch a scout to warn the anbu and police force there's a rogue inside the village and then the real chase can begin :)
Keep in mind there'll be jutsus to help you go through the gates of a village and walk inside unrecognized.

Ok let's step on the brakes with the aggro....again  ::)
I was allowed to post one last time to clarify the purpose of this thread was NEVER supposed to bash on people making phylosophical threads, they have the right to do so in the appropriate places, but rather stop that "don't like it don't post" nonsense. People can post whatever they want but they also have to let people give their opinions on the thread, even if they're not fully explained.

Jeez let's step on the brakes a bit shall we?

@Suroshi It wasn't directed at you in particular but yes your post on the other thread was what triggered me to write this one.
I understand getting feedback like "this post is shit" isn't nice or constructive but it's at least a view on the matter. Someone actually asked me to explain once why I said his post was shit and I did it constructively. Unfortunately it didn't develop into a full mature discussion but for a while it was a normal healthy discussion.

The game is still very much in its infancy without much to talk about so if there's nothing useful to say just don't say anything imo. There are so many topics that don't really belong here, it's like going to an science lecture and hear about philosophy

Just by reading the first few lines I noticed where you went off track.
It's not about people not sharing the same points of view, it's about the haters.

The creator of the thread noticed he received hate on his post. The comments were not even going against his point of view, they were literally calling his post a shitpost, to which he responded with "if you don't like it, don't comment".

There's nothing wrong with it, lol.

The part "if you don't like it, don't comment" is what's wrong. Because if I don't like it you can bet I'm gonna say I don't like it. Just as if I like it you can bet I'm gonna say I like it. Unless I'm to lazy to speak which is most often.

There's a difference between haters and guys that just don't like a controversial thread ya know, haters hate all the time while the other guys simply hated that particular thread. I'm against haters but not against the latter

Spoiler: show
I'm probably gonna regret writing this but I felt it needed to be said

Now that I've gathered all the pseudo-philosophers here (there's been a lot lately), I gotta ask what's up with the "Don't like the topic don't post" mentality that so many people seem to support?

Are we supposed to just turn a blind eye on things we don't like? For instance I see someone appealing to violence here in the forums? Am I wrong if I go out of my way to try and stop that? Because if you say "don't like it, don't post" it kinda sounds like you don't accept anything other than your own point of view. I realize one thing is harming another human being quite another is just posting useless threads but the argument stands, if someone is baited to a thread that turns out he doesn't think it belongs there or he finds it useless or whatever shouldn't he be allowed to voice his opinion on the thread?
If you post about a particularly controversial topic expect people to react controversially. We're all here in this forum, if we don't like something we should have the right to say so. I for once think if a thread is shitty people are entitled to say so, it's their opinion after all.

This is gonna rub many people on the wrong side but at least it serves the purpose of stopping this childish mentality.
If you have anything to say on this matter, positive or negative, don't keep it to yourself speak up, even if it is saying that this thread is crappy.

Getting real sick and tired of these topics, ngl...

Saaaame. Deep questions that don't have specific answers on an online forum about an unfinished indy mmorpg based on a fictional universe from a manga/anime doesn't really make sense.

Regardless the answer is 42. Wolframalpha is god and god says so, so I'll take it (http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=meaning+of+life)

Not sure who your talking to but same go's for you!!

i was talking to suroshi but your posts are pretty shit too

Dunno how this org slipped under my radar but nice work there Abe. If I wanted to join an org this would definitely be on my list. You could just maybe don't make it so blatantly copied from AC, a bit more subtlety would make it better and more distinctive imo.
You might wanna check out the kirishima clan btw

I'll probably go solo but if SLO ever takes off I hope we can work together since it appears this org matches my ideology quite well

@Suroshi mate, agree with your original post entirely, didn't read all of your last post though, just don't waste your time trying to argue with ninja here, he only uses logic when it suits his views and takes pieces of information he doesn't fully understand and uses it as absolute truth when they fit one of his views. Check the previous 2 pages. I'm out

@NinjaMirage I've answered you. I don't know how else i can explain either but as i said before i wasn't expecting to change your mind anyway. Your argument is severely flawed, you didn't show how mine was flawed and then you say you showed evidence... End of discussion. At least on my part.

What do you consider is the biggest reason that god dose not exist?

Dozens of theories, hundreds of answers. I could literally write a book on this question alone.

To continue with the math.
The abuility to pull energy from mater is sold science. So with enough energy it should be posable to create mater from energy.
E=mc2 m=E/c2

That is a lot of energy to produce a single atom of mater.  So where did the energy for the Big Bang come from?

In the Bible god is discredited as " abundant in dynamic energy" in other words energy in  Motion.  Isaiah 40:20  This was long long long before  Einstein ever conceived the idea.

Let's not dwell on fields neither of us is comfortable in. The special relativity theory goes way beyond that equation, that is in fact only the tiny tip of the massive iceberg that is the theory. And the big bang is still just a theory, hence the show's name as well. Explains a lot of things but is missing on a lot of questions as well.
Don't pull stuff you don't fully understand to the table.

But answering your question, if you could answer scientifically how and why the big bang happened you'd probably win the nobel in physics.

Also don't pull vague badly translated verses written by men. That was 3 arguments in a sentence, I didn't think I would ever get this far.
I've done some digging and it appears the most commonly accepted translations of the word in question are "might, power, strength, vigor, glory", that one only appeared after 1958. But even ignoring the obvious translation problem, it's still super vague and written by a man that thought there was nothing above the sky and the sun went around the earth. You're telling me god gave him the answer to nuclear weapons before telling him earth was actually round?

@NinjaMirage aaaand we're sliding. *Sigh* this discussion was going surprisiny well. What if I'm a "fool"? Is it gonna change my arguments?

I don't know if god is real or not. And I'm saying god as in the creator of the universe. Right now I've got more reasons to believe he is, just not how religion pictures it. But no theory I've heard of or thought of yet explains everything so I'm not ready to answer that question yet. I just don't know
