I can't say anything about the "DEV BLOG" not being updated besides the reason that their sole Writer (judging from the team info provided here) left the team and there's no one at the moment to do that job. But I can tell you that some of the devs do share their WIP stuff in the discord server from time to time so you might wanna check it out if you haven't already ofc.

I'm pretty sure these ideas must've been suggested already because what I make of them is that they are rip-off's of the original naruto jutsu. Rather some of them are the original jutsu.

It's an old and known bug. Most likely should be fixed in the next update.

Ask someone to use Earth Wall and push you out by doing that. As far as I know that's the only safe way of getting out from that situation as killing the character in that position has bad consequences and re-logging doesn't seem to help either.
