Shinobi Life Online Discussion / Re: There are To many Villages.
« on: August 01, 2015, 03:53:24 »
1- The amount of villages are perfect in my mind, and they fit the map perfectly.

2- The whole SLO world, in theory, will hold events, if you understand what I mean.

3- There will already be towns and small communities throughout the Village lands. Think of the Villages as the Capitals of states. I.E Atlanta, Tallahassee, Austin, etc. Best analogy I can think of.

Shinobi Life Online Questions / Re: Multiple orgs
« on: June 22, 2015, 17:24:59 »
Players should, and most likely will, be able to join multiple organizations. Joining more than one organization creates possibilities such as spies, organizational back-stabbings, linked org. allies, back-up "plans" (groups), and so on. Granted all of these CAN exist with only being able to join a single organization, but allowing for the IMMERSION would make the game all the more better.

Shinobi Life Online Suggestions / Fan Made Concept Art!
« on: May 23, 2015, 01:20:52 »
Alright, the time has come! Thank you @dragon6624 for coming up with this magnificent idea.

What is this post?
Simple. This is a post to inform the community that we are now accepting fan-made art of equipment, as well as clothing.

Rules:
First off, there are a few simple rules that you, as a participant, must abide by when drawing your very own idea.
- Each drawing MUST stay true to the theme of SLO.
- Each drawing MUST be original: Inspiration and plagiarism are completely different things.
- DO NOT submit "troll" drawings. This includes pictures -- Keep the submissions hand or virtually drawn.

What is the task?
Not every single one of us has amazing talent in the field of art, so this is your chance to assist the creation of SLO by creating your own concept art. Simple enough, we are challenging you all to create your dream items that you wish to have in the Shinobi Life Online world. By following the rules above, and the directions below, your submissions have the possibility to be added to the DeathMatch, and even the final version of SLO!

How do I submit my drawings?
Submitting your drawings is as easy as simply sending them to EternalEyes via Private Message.

General Information:
Here are a few things that need to be noted:
- Not each and every drawing submitted will be looked at. (Maybe eventually).
- EternalEyes will begin touching up/re-drawing your drawings starting June 22nd due to various reasons.
- EternalEyes will be evaluating submitted drawings very thoroughly, and if deemed appropriate, he will touch up and edit the drawings. This means he is improving, and possibly tweaking submitted drawings.

Thanks again to Dragon for coming up with the idea, and to EternalEyes for accepting it. Last but not least, thank you all who participate, and good luck!

Shinobi Life Online Discussion / Re: Earning different clothes
« on: May 19, 2015, 21:45:08 »
I support this, as you get stronger you get more privileges therefore better clothes.
Do note that the DM version is going to have character creation. It will, however, be minimalistic.

What I don't understand here is "better clothes". If by better clothes, you mean clothes that look more edgy and badass than others, this is all opinionated. Ergo, we'd really have no clue as to what the mass majority of you would want: No information.

Me saying this is in noway a sign that this system will be added (although I do like the idea).

Shinobi Life Online Questions / Re: Fan Equitpment Ideas
« on: May 14, 2015, 21:30:46 »
This is a good plan to get your ideas across, and possibly in the game, if you don't have the skills to be an official developer. I talked to EE about this, and he's fully interested. @dragon6624

With all of this said, there are a few things that need to be noted:
  • To send EE your own CA/Drawings, simply PM them to him directly.
  • Not all CA/Drawings will be looked at (obviously depending on the amount submitted).
  • EE will not/can not begin touching up submitted CA/Drawings until June 22nd for various reasons.

Have fun with your ideas, and good luck. I will most likely be making an official announcement thread in the near future to hopefully get maximum participants.
When this occurs, I'll delete this thread, and Dragon will be given credit for the idea.

Good luck Shiv, don't disappoint.

@joca94, you crack me up man.

So some of you know me as the former Lust of Yugure. I'm relaying a message written by America which details why the former Pride and Sloth (m4 and America respectively) left the forum. Please be warned that the following message below is salt inducing. So here it is:

Salve amici, mihi nomen est America

Shinobi Life Online Questions / Re: Plot
« on: March 10, 2015, 13:08:07 »
Will there be main/minor quest lines to follow, or will there just be random events with players creating most of the action?

Yes.
  |
  v
Q: Will random NPCs have the ability to generate random quests/missions?
A: Village AI's will give out missions at random times. (Scripted missions ranging from simple, easy ones to complex, hard ones.)

how far will America go as far as lore and plot... Imo, there should be a bigger writing staff..

I am not sure how to put this in words, so bear with me.

America is currently tasked with writing each of the village lores, and yes, he may be the only writer, but we currently do not need any more; there isn't a high demand for one. This is because the game isn't near the MMO stage. The lores that are being written (that will be written) are here for, in my own opinion, two reasons: Firstly, for people to really "immerse" themselves into SLO's universe by reading and knowing the history of the SLO universe. People enjoy lore in all of its glory just like people enjoy books, hence the reason why Blizzard made their Wow lore into books. Lastly, the lore will be used for future reference when creating quest story lines.

The time will come in the future when a larger writing staff will become needed, and when that time comes the SLO plot/quest line/stuff will begin to take shape.

3D Modeling / Re: My 3D Models
« on: March 03, 2015, 14:18:31 »
You act as though I don't know what the wrist and forearm are... Obvious joke is obvious.

Either way, in the Popeye picture, his forearm is his wrist, so the joke is still on you.

Good game Shiv, valiant effort.

XD but the forearm in that pic is the same size as the wrist.

Joke's on you Shiv, the forearm IS the wrist.

Maybe have a leaderboard for the most powerful fallen warriors?

It was said in the first stream; there will be a graveyard tombstone-esque thing that will display those who have been permanently killed. Just something off the top of my own head, it'd most likely be something similar to the "Monument of Swordsmen" in SAO 2.

Do note, this example is more so something to give you a visual. Don't start ranting about whether SAO is shitty or not.

Meh, I don't like this. If you find a rare jutsu, use it to your advantage, it'll just make you stronger and/or more difficult to kill. As far as non-rare jutsu, they aren't rare so go get find it again. There will be a lot of jutsu you'll be able to acquire from stores and such. Besides, it's not like a single jutsu will make or break your strength. In the end, the stronger the jutsu, the more risk you take using it.

By acquiring jutsu, I mean scrolls.

Edit: Not to mention the fact that perma-death is in certain areas. While you'll be able to "defeat" anyone pretty much any where, they won't be PK'd (permanently killed). You got the balls to go into the PK zones, you shouldn't complain about being PK'd.
