Would these traps have some method of being detected/deactivated?

i asked about deactivating them. Not blowing them up

Not everyone will just make a Skype account just so they can share some Intel so there should be an alternative
The PM them. Creating scrolls will be a waste of time, you're just arguing for a cause that is already lost imo, sorry.

^

If need be, you could even have like a chatroom system in the game to share information with a group of people. If you've played Runescape, it could be something similar to clan chat.

Shinobi Life Online Suggestions / Re: In combat maximum speed
« on: January 26, 2015, 21:27:39 »
Well chakra and stamina will be hand in hand. Yea it would play into it, but only to the extent of what your new movement speed will be after the slow takes effect. Like if your max movement speed is 60 because you have x amount of stamina/chakra and you are slowed by 25%, you'll be moving at 45. if your max is at 40 and you are reduced by 25%, you'll be at 30. I think the only role stamina/chakra will play into it would be how fast you are in general. I hope that helps some, if i understood your question correctly.

@Raenir Just by entering the perimeter

if you enter the perimeter of the trap, it will go off will it not?

I am not blaming anyone but if a gm does see what's inside then the Intel can leak out and even if he will be punished there will still be an Intel leak oh and you have to buy blank scrolls / paper and envelopes.

You don't need to be a GM to leak Intel. :P Any rogue ninja, or traitor can do just the same. IE you send me a scroll, I abandon the village and take the information with me and share it with everyone. Preventing a GM from seeing the contents wouldn't impact the frequency of Intel leaks imo.

Well if that's the case, i still find the box to be a little excessive. But if this idea is to be implemented, i don't really care how it is done. Box or no box, as long as you can keep the item from being used i suppose.

Or people can send/hand letters/scrolls to each other to share Intel and GMs can't see what's in these scrolls/letters, and sorry for posting this here :3. Oh and there should be some system that you can't write insulting things or prohibited things on these scrolls/letters

For what reason would the GM's not be allowed to see what is inside?

A chest or box would defeat the purpose of keeping the item in your inventory. A chest/box would fall under the category of storage.

I'm not taking sides in this PM argument, but I just have a question for rayzote. How often will people be private messaging something in an MMO, that they don't want someone to see? 9/10 private messages, I would assume anyways, are going to be in some form of fashion related to the game.

Im glad that we have some clever people like you M4 xD Ofc I aint gonna play as girl, that would be like a bit weird... xD
It's 2015, MMO's consist of 50% Proper Players
25% Players wanting a girlfriend
25% Sweaty dudes pretending to be chicks

This.... is.... so.... TRUE HAHA

and which category do you fall under, Remi? ;) haha kidding

General Discussion / Re: Favorite MMO's/MOBA
« on: January 25, 2015, 02:36:47 »
I really don't play many MMOs because of my crappy internet, but my very first MMORPG is:

MapleStory and is getting a prequel that is currently being in development "MapleStory 2"
MapleStory is a 2D MMORPG that back in the day was amazing!(now is really spoiled) but now is getting a 3-D prequel which is going to be awesome, fun and an enjoyable adventure! I say all this because i know no one of you have played MapleStory.

Besides MS, there are some MMO that i've played but don't even remember names. Such as... i really forgot the name haha, it was a browser 3-D mmorpg really fun, somewhat like a fantasy game. Also Ragnarok, very fun too. FusionFall CartoonNetwork's MMO as well, really fun, it closed in 2013 tho.  I play MMORPG for fun, today's online games are mostly competitive games.

I actually have played Maple Story. It may be a great game, but i just could never get in to it. I thought FusionFall was pretty fun :) i only played the free version though and i think there was a free 2 play level cap. The only 3-D browser game that initially comes to mind is Sherwood Dungeon. I don't know if that's the one you are necessarily thinking of though.

Well if that was in the recent years it might be because of the integration of p2w that has been slowly killing the game, less population than long ago. If that was around 2010 or before, then i don't know why, it was awesome :3.
Really there was a pay version for FusionFall?! haha never reached high levels i guess that's why i never really complained.
And nope, it is not Sherwood Dungeon, it was a strange name i can't remember! D:

Yea it was after the p2w integration i believe. Though i am still excited to see how MapleStory 2 is going to unfold. it sounds pretty cool :) and I have no idea on the 3-D browser game o.O haha. I haven't delved too much in browser games as a vast majority of them aren't very fun in my opinion.

@Mars alright haha. i mean Skyrim is definitely one of the closest to an MMO, single player games you'll play. So you had that going for you :P

Shinobi Life Online Suggestions / Item Locking System
« on: January 25, 2015, 02:09:18 »
I think it would be neat if you could "lock" an item in your inventory. Essentially if items are one click to use, you could make it to where a particular item cannot be clicked on. Just as a precaution to accidentally clicking on an item that you may be wanting to save for later etc.

I could definitely see something like this, or similar to this being implemented.
