Description: The user sharpens their blade, and thus does more damage with swords, daggers, axes and other non-thrown weapons
Jutsu Level: Intermediate
Chakra Nature: Metal (Wind + Lightning)
Effects: Any attacks with a sword do extra damage. Lasts for as long as your chakra permits. It uses a small amount of chakra.

Jutsu type: Ninjutsu
Chakra nature: Steam Release (I believe fire and water)
Jutsu level: Somewhere between intermediate and expert
Jutsu description: The user creates a vast mist of steam, doing small bits of damage to all inside it. Consumes a large amount of chakra. User must stand still during until they are at the level of a master, at which point they can move.
Jutsu Effect: Gradual damage done to all those in the mist.

I put this in the suggestion section because it is, in a sense, a suggestion, but I'd like to hear people's opinions on it also.

I'd just like to bring up the idea of your character having to "stay in shape." This would mean that if you do not regularly access your character, say, every 10 days, your character's top stamina will worsen gradually, by a percentage. All you'd have to do was run for 1 second every 10 days for your character not to lose stamina. For a game like this to be exciting, the players need to be current, meaning the majority of people would play regularly. The best way for this to happen is for people to have an incentive to play, ie. losing the maximum stamina of their character. In real life, if you did not do exercise for a decent amount of time, your body would begin to lose its overall fitness, this should happen with SLO.

I'd even suggest that things like maximum jumping height and running speed should be altered by the lack of play.

No, you shouldn't gain hitpoints. But you should gain resistance, which will stop you taking as much damage.
It's essentially the same thing.


I agree with Mars here. It wouldn't make sense if you had less of a chance of dying as you trained more and more. However, resistance would make sense. If you have bigger and stronger muscles, and you're more in-shape, you're less likely to die.

Jutsu Description:Rain begins to fall in a large area around the user, damaging any enemies that are hit. The only way to counter is with a shield that can cover their head. This consumes a large amount of chakra, and can damage friendly units, so is only useful against multiple enemies. The user is slowed to a maximum speed of 40 km/h during this time. This would allow enemies to run away from the user.
Jutsu Level: Master (due to being able to create massive amounts of water from nothing)
Chakra Nature: Water
Jutsu Range: Large
Effects if hit: Small amount of damage with each second spent in the rain.

I support this idea as long as it caps at half strength. Tho for that earth wall....would the size be reduced? Itll take a lot of time to make adjusted jutsu and likely come on the table after full release.

I'd say that the wall should be full size, just twice as easy to destroy. It would still be disadvantageous to use other elements apart from in very specific circumstances. If it takes forever to train on top of that, there's just no way it would be overpowered, it would just make the game far more interesting.

Well let me add to this. There already IS chakra control somewhat in the game. The fastest speed you have is 60, but the fastest you can run without spending chakra is (I forgot Lol). There's also a speed that lets your chakra recharge its fastest while still letting you run (Its in the 40s somewhere). It may not be exactly what your talking about but its still chakra control and is important.

I'd say that's a part of chakra control. As you learn to control chakra, things like this should become easier and more efficient. It would be a great addition to SLO, and would really help explain why certain jutsu can be used to such effect.

This idea ties hand-in-hand with the post I just made on learning to control your chakra nature.

Chakra control should be an important part of using jutsu, namely elemental jutsu. Chidori is a combination of both chakra control and elemental chakra control.

My suggestion is that you should have to learn to control chakra before you start using jutsu requiring chakra. Each jutsu should have a required level of chakra control. Chakra control should level up passively through the usage of chakra throughout the game, and shinobi should be able to learn how to do it through various exercises.

High level jutsu should require higher levels of chakra control, whether this be gained through the usage of jutsu, or through manual training.

I've been re-watching a lot of Naruto fights and interesting episodes recently. One of the episodes I watched was Naruto learning to control his wind element before creating rasenshuriken. I'd suggest something like this for SLO. This would come in the form of some kind of quest early on, teaching you how to control your affinity nature, as Naruto did. The quest shouldn't be hard, but shinobi shouldn't be able to use elemental jutsu until they have completed this quest.

I'd also suggest a harder quest at jonin for when a second nature affinity becomes available.

The quest should be different for each nature. E.g. To control fire you have to spend time trying to spark wood. To control water you have to spend time trying to soak a cloth.

This shouldn't take long, but I think it would be a great addition to the early quests in the game, and it would show why shinobi are able to use each nature.

Why should a clone be stronger than you?

PS:I dont think that vreg is against clones because they are OP or because they are hard to implement.
Its most likely because of lag.
There are people who use a lot of firework in a mmo at the same time and at the same place,forexample.
This can make the whole server lag a lot,maybe even shut down the server.
Something similiar could happen if players came together to the same place,and create a lot of clones there at the same time.

Yeah clones would definitely not be overpowered, in Naruto I believe each clone only has 1/10 of the power of the user.
