you are talking ninjutsu 2 natures thats all fine.  but after you do that you deside to train in  taijutsu where is the cap on that and genjustun has no natures so you can master it too ??? and kenjustu got to max that out till you are so op that you can fart on a genien and he dies. but then your tired of being low on health after a fight so you learn medical ninjutsu .....no natures there..... lets max it till you have mastered every kind of jutsu there is.....you see how this can become a problem  players can loose there characters pertinently.( as a side thought is there an idea out there yet about if a player hangs out in a kill zone and kills more then 3 people in a row that there put in every villages
bingo book....and if your name is in the bingo book then you can be killed anywhere in the game
even villages !!!!!!! )

then how do prevent  players from mastering every style justu in the game witch would basically eliminate the need for any team work at all..?

so then every one knows the chakra nature circle then rigth

               water                wind                      jutsu        can use                    week

if this is implemented would it force people to teem up with people to fill the gaps in team skills??

can we consider puting easter eggs in that you would only be able to get with a full teem skillset?

Is this a free for all game or is there a level of team  strategy? I only aske because if it's based on naruto then missions should be carried out in teams of 3-4. Train and side qusets can be done on your own obviously....
But to advance in your  Village and gain titles genine chunine Janine Kaga
You must complete missions of different  difficulties and prove your capabilities!So will missions be team  based, of will there be solo missions??


I would like to see team missions only
But I can see some players being frustrated with that...when they want to move up and can't get a group to do that last mission they need to take the chunine exams!!!!

 Personally I think using different keystrokes to symbolize hand signs is a stroke of genius !!!

 That being said getting back to the user interface

Are  character menus going to be laid out in categories

Taijustu
Ninjutsu
Genjutsu
 Items
Team
 Missions

Or

Will you only get Like 2 or 3 jutsu types... Like Taijustu ninjutsu and kenjutsu but no genjutsu??? What are your thoughts??

 I agree the soft lock is probably the best option for standard play .  I was thinking a hard lock for a learned ability for extreme taijutsu,  at higher levels....  Sense if you spend that much time using taijutsu then  it should be more difficult for your opponent to get out of range of your attacks...

there is a problem with targeting too!!!!! first i would set the tab button for scrolling throw opponents within 10-20 feet in the screen in front of you. i would suggest that there should be like a taijutsu stance(T)...button that locks the opponent in the center screen and fallows his movement so if he moves behind you some how with a flash step or the like the camera fallows him. if he moves out of the targeting range of 10 -20 feet before you hit the taijutsu button you lose target and have to get closer.

as far as the the suggestions so far i like the idea of custamizing combos but left click is to easy
J=jab
K=kick
L=sweep
is good
;=but you should have a counter that can be added in to a combo with this button lay out

with the camera lock this opens up the option to ad power using the direction buttons in combinations ---- like d+j= hard punch
at any time ether player can hit A twice(AA) to exit the camera lock
combos can be learned and unlock but must be in you inventory and practiced to gain power and
effectiveness... i would also like to see eventually  some place you can create your own combo
by using moves you already have learned in different combinations but that would be much latter

i know this is starting to look like a D.O.A. combo book but when i think taijutsu thats what i imagine..the same stance option may be able to be applied to kenjutsu

Jutsu Type: genjutsu
Jutsu Description: CC's target.... the apponint cannot  move from there current location
if possible a mechanic that lets them still move around freely on there screen and attack an image of you.... but to everyone else they look like they are just standing still
Jutsu Level: hard
Chakra Nature: none
Jutsu Range:short no more then 10 feet
Effects: as long as he takes no damage the is no adverse affects from the casting of this jutsu
any damage will brake him out of the jutsu... in his illusion any jutsu that he connects with your clone appears to activate a substitution justu.

i am aware this is a extremely complex mechanic to implement and probably extremely long term
but this kind of illusion would be awesome to see in a game.

the thing with genjutsu is it should be hard to brake... sense it cant do any real damage...and requires a moderate to large amount of chakra... also i saw a post earler last year about this topic and i agreed with m4r1us that any damage genjutse dose should be to the amount of chakra the opponent can use... and if the chakra resurve reaches low anuph levels then health should quickly decrees... as it represents everything that makes up your life (mind and body) witch by the way is why kakashi was hospitalized
he spent to much time under the genjutsu and his chakra was depleted.

Jutsu Description: refracts light around you making you look invisible

Effects if hit: on your self only.... makes your 50% more vulnerable to attacks

Jutsu Name:mud marking jutsu
Jutsu Type: space-time Ninjutsu
Jutsu Description: creates a thin layer of mud on the ground that adds a mark on anyone walking throw it that last 1 hour.....the size of the puddle will vary bast on the cast time and chakra used.
this allows you to instantaneously travel any distance from your location to with in 5 feet of them
this takes massive amount to chakra to set up but none to activate. to activate the marks will apear in your min-map and you can click on it to activate
Jutsu Level: master
Chakra Nature:earth
Jutsu Range:long
Effects if hit: the act of being pulled though space that violently leaves you dissorianted makinging
everything bleary for 5 sec. this effect can be limited or extended bassed on experiance

Jutsu Name:wind spheer
Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu
Jutsu Description: chakra spheer that surounds the caster repelling any physical attack( includes weapons )
Jutsu Level: beginer to intermediat
Chakra Nature: wind
Jutsu Range:short
Effects if hit: tiejutsu attacks are repealed back and deal double the damage to  the attacker
any fire style attack creates an expolsion dealing double damage to caster dose not block ninjutsu or genjutsu

any high level jutsu should come with major risks... no op  jutsu

in the short term slightly different animations of fighting styles for each starting village should be applied so that throw careful observation you might be able to figure out what jutsu thay use....
and there for what the best counter would be also there is no current tijutsu macanichs int the curent version... a simple punch and kick should be added soon..

sensory type effects should only effect the min map and name locators in view.  and diffrences should come with a buff to deffence from diffrent attacks.... byakugan=chakra bassed attacks smell-physical= attacks
hearing= sneek attacks and so on

yeah i just saw this and thought i would chime in.... i found the villages and ideas planed for starting characters so i have a better idea now of the  game plan.. i like what i see and am real eager to see how it develops but adding a bass stat for all new characters with emphasis on  one of 3 characteristics i.e. physical, spiritual energies or intelligence would help to some one new the the concept but not new to mmorpgs figure out what role in a teem battle they would most likley play
