I think it should be a big crime in-game to leave your village. I say that because I can sense that there will be a large number of players that will choose to go rogue which is fine, but there should be sever consequences for that. I say once a ninja leaves their village, they automatically have a bounty put on their head depending on how high ranked they were in the village. On top of that when the ninja goes to any other villages the bounty still applies. I think that will give being a rogue ninja more of a meaning in title and game-play.

what if you just want to venture outside your village but not leave it, would they count that as leaving too? or would the village have a radius zone so if you leave it you automaticallly become a missing nin?

Not all Rogue ninjas have to do something bad to be a rogue ninja. You could just leave the village, and then you are rogue.

Imo people should be allowed to travel without consequences just like Jiraiya. I mean there'll be an abundance of missing nin, do we really want people who go around to become rogues too, therefore increasing the number?

What I meant was that you could just leave the village without doing wrong and become a rogue if you wanted. I do believe that you should be able to travel if you want as a village ninja.

okay heres a great suggestion, how about a toggle hud that says betray village and once you activate it cant be deactivated and only a kage can invite to their village if they want to, so once you toggle the betrayal you become a rouge ninja, that why if you are apart of the hill for example you can go anywhere you want as you please

Not being able to leave the village would strict the player tremendously in gameplay, exploration, training, socializing, and so on. I would honestly get extremely bored.

I think Rogue Ninja should be a hard status to achieve. There should be some sort of risk if you fail the "rogue ninja challenge" E.g. you lose your items, permadeath. And should you become a rogue ninja, you should be rewarded and given some type of reputation and special rank/items.

I've said this before somewhere but one becomes rogue after disappearing from their village for a month. A village shinobi is obligated to report in every once in a while. Of course, breaking rules and running away makes one rogue right away.

If you're planning to leave the village for whatever reason, you're supposed to officially retire as a village shinobi at the Kage's office. Leaving this way won't make you rogue.
