I am creating my characters story and saw a death post about characters being completly erased and will make it to where life is super valuable, and I love that. My only question is what if I get killed by a terrible death seeking roleplayer if I take a 2 second break. I love the concept a fucking shit ton, but what if I get randomly killed or say RDM'd will I be rolled back and is there going to be a type of village medics?
-
Random kills will definatly happen, and i doubt they will roll back your character.
I know that its frowned upon,to kill someone without any RP,just like that.
But i dont know if there really are rules against this.
If there are rules,it will be very hard to check out every death, once the game has a lot of players.
Rules also wouldnt change much....RPK,s would just write a small RP story in 5 minutes, about ther character beeing a killer and write a few words before killing you and there you got it.......,,RP''...
Not nice, but it would be covered by the rules.
The best option would be,to never feel save.
Always watch your back and always expect to be killed by anyone for whatever reason they may have.

Will their be a mic only server????
-
Without having a official answer for you,i can just give you mine:
Definatly not.
Like....really,no.
There are games who dont have a ingame chat, but i never heard of a mmo with a,,mic only server''.
Or even a,,mic only mmo''.
Preventing people from using the ingame chat would be unwise for a mmo like this.
-
No not no ingame typing but a mic recommended type server and a ingame or anything type. If no MMO has done it why not be the first.

When in permadeath areas just log out and don't risk it :p
You don't die perm in villages as they are safe-zones.
-
Its possible to add a ingame voice chat, mortal online has done it and it works fine.
When youre standing near someone, you can hear what he says.
But the way you wrote it was a bit odd.
A mic ONLY server.
That sounds like you wanted to get rid of a ingame chat.
By the way, with servers,do you mean private, user hosted servers?
Because from what i know,SLO will not have those(and im happy about that).

You don't die perm in villages as they are safe-zones.
Also, it will be very hard to kill someone, even if they are standing still. IF you look a way for 2 seconds there is not a single jutsu that could kill you.

I'm sorry I didn't get that "if you look a way for two seconds" what way
Ps not trolling I'm confused

Oh Diamond...always the special one.
You're sitting on your computer, playing SLO, right in the middle of a fight. Then you receive a call, you glance at your phone see it's a friend and quickly tell them to fuck off and go die. You resume the game.
In the amount of time you spent looking away from the screen^, even if you're in combat, theres no way that you'd die, unless your health was precauriously low anyways.

Yes, I think I read sometime ago that the fact that characters can be perma-killed means it will be difficult to deplete one's health. In other words, unless there is some OP, OP, probably forbidden, jutsu that can drain your life in 2 seconds (which there won't be) you can't be easily killed when AFK for just a few seconds unless your health was already in the red, so to speak.

what about fire breath XD tho lol yeah itll likely not be so easy, because a lot of places it sounds like you just literally cannot perma die, and be in hospital instead, tho if in perma area, answer phone at your own risk ( or logout lol ) my suggesstion tho other ppl said the same thing, offering reassurances here

Just going to post this again.
More like you can't die in a non-death zone, you can only go as far as being defeated/unconscious. Death zones (previously known as perma-death zones) are zones where you can get killed off after getting defeated.
Death zones are currently planned to be the wide borders between lands. So crossing over to another land in order to visit its Hidden Village or any other of its villages has the risk of being ambushed and actually dying permanently. Hence this should be done in a safe manner by either travelling in group or by trying to be unnoticed by travelling through trees.
Death in SLO means the definition of the word: "Death is the termination of all biological functions that sustain a living organism." Respawning does not fit in that. Luckily the majority of SLO's world will be non-death zoned, courtesy of the Hidden Village protection provided to the lands they are located in.
If you're planning on going afk, just don't go anywhere near the borders and stay in a safezone.
This thread could've been avoided with the help of the search tool, but then again you probably didn't know up until now.
