You're currently using Simple Machines, which I'm sorry to say looks horrible compared to modern forum software like Discourse.
It's too cluttered, way too many statistics, sidebars, nav bars etc.
In contrast Discourse is fast, mobile-friendly, does lazy loading, remembers your last read post on each thread, can summarise threads and all sorts of other goodness.

As another suggestion: the forum should be on a subdomain, and the main shinobilifeonline.com should be a WordPress site with links to downloads, trailers, media for the press etc.

Checked out the discourse thingy, and, you might find me weird, but I like this version of the forum MUCH better. Plus, I think changing it up would be very annoying and would mess up names and signatures, forum reputation andtitles a lot. I think that what this forum needs o a little updating, like for example on the bar that says what update is out.
Ps I don't mind the statistics, I love them.

I actually like this forum more then that one lol. But I agree with the above, on a certain degree.

I think these forums are awesome and classic, no need for a change ... Everyone is happy and satisfied except a few, I see no reason why they should change it.

nothing wrong with a few changes here and there but not a complete transformation...

I dislike the look of Discourse forum, but I encourage change.
