SLO is a secure site, hence the green https.

Tinypic, however, is not a secure site and does not have the green https. This is the reason why you get this result when trying to use an image from Tinypic on SLO, the image isn't visible.

Gyazo is secured, hence why the pictures are coming through and are visible.

Now, I've literally just been informed on the situation and not everything that I've posted may be 100% true. I'm still learning the situation.

With that said, upload the image you wish to use as your sig to a secured image hosting website and retry.

Vreg told me to put HTTPS:// before my signatures.
So it wouldn't mess with the security of SLO.
Idk if that will solve anything in your case.

I highly recommend you upload whatever image you want to use as your signature on http://www.imgur.com/ and copy the image address from there.

Imgur is a trusted source for images and is compatible with SLO.

We will be posting an official announcement on embedding pictures securely on our website soon.

For now you need to consider 3 things when embedding an image:

1. Use an image hosting site that supports encryption, there are many site out there that do but I personally recommend imgur since it's the easiest to use. Your image URLs can be HTTP instead of HTTPS as long as whichever site is hosting your images supports encryption, SLO automatically makes secure requests even if your URLs are insecure.

2. The second part of the first rule does not apply when you're using an URL shortener, some people use them because of the 300 character signature limitation. When you use these, make sure the original URLs that you're shortening do contain https, this is because SLO has no access to the original URLs and is therefore unable to make an automatic secure request.

3. Stay away from Photobucket or any site like it, Photobucket is the kind of evil that responds insecurely to secure requests. Most sites that do not support encryption will simply not respond or show a certificate error, Photobucket however will silently respond insecurely as if nothing is wrong, your images will show, but your connection will be infiltrated.

I recommend http://imgur.com/

Or use Gyazo to upload a file by right clicking it in it's location and then going to 'Send to Gyazo'
