Will there be religions that you can follow and which can grant you some special techniques, like Jashin in Naruto? They will be like a different tree skill: Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Genjutsu, Kenjutsu, Shukyojutsu (Religion), etc.

That's a good idea. I don't think the religions should give as much of a bonus as they do for Jashin.
-
Hidan is a sick character with his religion haha.
I hope it will be implemented although not with such big advantages like hidan.
Immortality

inb4 religion board
-
I like the idea.
-
Would be cool in the MMO!
-
I don't really agree with this idea but if it is implemented, religions should be made by the dev team not any random player.

But then how would I worship the Flying Spaghetti God in game?

Only thing you're allowed to worship is me.

@Mars It won't be something OP or something rare, therefore anybody should have this path open, just like in real life, you can become a real believer, a monk etc. How I said it would simply be another skill tree with another set of jutsus. Nothing similar to Hidan's ability.
Also, this is a question in the question section (for those that haven't noticed yet), not a suggestion so I am waiting for the answer of a red-named or @Vreg

I believe each religion should give one buff, and one (not very strong) ability. That way, players can choose which religion and abilities suit them best. Religions could also be the cause of wars and conflicts, as people of the same religion would tend to band together. It'd give SLO another interesting dimension.

I think having religions start war and say people within religions band together is a bad idea.. This can lead to some serious consequences with communities and probably attracted complaints and problems. I think it should just be stuck to a skill people can choose the way Hidan was independent with the skill.

I think this would be okay as long as we established my upcoming rarity system, you see it prevents things that should be rare from being "rare" like they are in every other game, as in certain things can even be unique... I mean, no unique religions (unique for special abilities, which I will explain later), but unique to a very small set of people who have devoted EVERYTHING to their religion.

I think you have what I said confused. I don't mean that it should definitely lead to war, I mean that it COULD, though I don't believe anyone would become that serious about it.

Bump. Because this is still an unanswered question.
-
noice idea, and every religion should have a rival religion and an ally
-
As it seems i also misunderstood.
Since Konohuro is asking about religions and not suggesting anything here.
So once again @Vreg @Kai @Cedie @Saitou Could you answer this for us?
-
Or maybe.....maybeeeee it could be it could be kinda like a secret treasure like for example some guy discovers a secret shrine worships the deity, pledges an alliegence done , booya

This.. I like this.
-
what is a human with out a higher power?
-
It should be like if a person discovers a shrine then he/she is allowed to spread the religion,he can also pick the serius worshiper of the religion..
-
This was already answered in the stream, iirc there won't be any religions.
@Nova please correct me if I'm wrong.
-
If I'm being honest, I don't quite know.
Reason being that I missed the SLO stream due to personal business, so I can't confirm it.
Maybe ask Xendrus or Vreg / Any other developer.
-
I know the answer for sure as I was the one o initiate the question.
Vreg said that there won't be anything like special abilities or special techniques for those those that start worshiping gods. However, one is free to start a sect with a roleplay purpose and let the sect's rules lead their lives in SLO like: capturing other players and sacrifice them for their gods, or having special meetings, special clothing traits etc.
So it would be like an organization, but it won't grant anything special at all.

so mostly for roleplay purpose.

Locking the thread as the answer is known.
