Title: Clan missions
Post by: Aleksandar_Ciki on June 18, 2015, 20:28:15
Alongside DeathMatch update and other ones with it there should be clan quests. For example:

Slay 2000 clan enemy ninjas to learn a legendary clan jutsu (depending on the clan's jutsu element)

clan leaders should have a permission to create clan missions, just like one above.

If "Forsaken Chidori" clan has lightning there could be range chidori that sasuke possess, now, this is just a short example of how could it be.. Its up to you to make it happen.

While I do like this idea, it should probably be toned down a bit. Suppose a clan leader came in and decided that all of his clan members needed said jutsu, and just made a simple mission to slay one enemy ninja in order to get it. Although I'm not really sure where the boundries would/should be placed on these missions. And also, I know a lot of people want stuff implemented as soon as possible, preferably in the DeathMatch update, but this might be better off in the main game.

(Not sure if you wanted this as a discussion or not, do say so if you do/don't)

I think he meant something different. The leader has a jutsu which he doesn't want to teach to his fellow members although he can do that.
He sets an mission to kill someone and if the said person completes it then the leader teaches him the jutsu.

Also , what you said is answered by the fact that players will be able to give missions , you just would have to give your clan members those missions , but this is planned for MMO not DM.

I don't think there should be clan missions, as clans are just like large families. They're not made purely to accomplish goals. On the other hand, organisations are made for the purpose of furthering a person's goals, so I think that organisations should be the only groups able to accept missions.

That seems a bit...restrictive. Why not just allow any organization/clan/village leader to set missions?

Any person can set missions , seems you're forgetting that.

Anyone can set missions, yes, and members of a clan should be able to do these missions. However, I believe that the members of a clan that wish to do the missions should have to accept them as if they were players from separate, or no clans, that just happened to team up in game. Whereas an organisation all has the same goal and purpose, and should all take part in missions together that can be posted on organisation boards.

Fact is, like someone already said, clans are a large group of people who who do not necessarily share the same goals and motives. The only scenario in which I can imagine a clan agreeing as a whole to do something would be in the case of a clan war. Besides clan wars, it is very unlikely for a large group of people who are only related by blood to have a specific mission in their minds. Although clan missions would give the player a wider range of choices, and more freedom, it would drift away the player's attention from organization missions, which in my opinion are far more important and should be the main source of missions for players. (Along with village missions)

The only thing that ties an organization is their goals, therefore it would be wiser for the player to focus on achieving these goals and completing whatever the organization's mission is. So if there ever was the chance of implementing either of the two during this short period of time before Deathmatch, I would definitely go for organization missions. However I doubt either of them will be there by that time anyways, so we just need to wait till the final release.
