Title: Communication In-Game
Post by: StrawHatSeyi on April 03, 2015, 00:27:14
I think there should be realistic ways of long range communication. For example: The Kage of the hidden hill, wants to give some information to the hidden inferno kage. You could type (On in game paper) your message, then give it to a messenger bird to send to the hidden inferno kage.

I don't think that should be the case, either make it a readable item that someone has to carry, or at the very least, make some time have to go by before the kage can read the message.

You should be able to give ANBU the ability to take a message and deliver it to the other village by hand. They should be rewarded with XP or money for this.

The problem is that private messaging, as the chatbox, will exist. What's the point in messager birds if i can send a private message to the kage?. Since i support the idea of messager birds, I say,  that ingame private messages be removed from the final game and be replaced by the birds.

As cool as messenger birds and alike would be, it wouldn't work out. No one would use it when they could just pm someone on the forums or use skype.

Although SLO is aimed towards being a realistic simulation, it's still an online game in its core. And if there was no such thing as a friend's list or messaging to friends, we would probably have a serious problem.

People like to play together and meet up with friends, so all of this must be present. We could put some sort of messenger bird theme on private messages however.
