Will we be able to have our characters have dominant hands? Like, right handed holding of jutsu, left handed holding of jutsu? Just wondering about this.
-
I am a big fan of this idea, as I am a leftie. On the other hand, that might require to double the amount of animations so it might not be very effective. If there is any chance for it to be implemented though, I strongly support it.

I know Counter Strike has something like this. It would require some new animations, however.

Maybe this could be bought with real life money, as it will offer no real advantage.
I feel like it will serve no real purpose, yet players would want it. This would make a good vanity item/ability.

If this has to be paid for, that would kind of defeat "ease of access". Better to have an option in character creation (if it out-weighs the problem of double the animations of course).

On CsGo, the only thing that changes is the side the weapon is on. It's almost like it's "flipped" from the right side over to the left. Nothing is changed for other players.

Well mirroring animations over the Y axis is a possibility and can be done more or less easily, but it is questionable as to what benefit. Just for the visual effect of carrying a jutsu in the left hand instead of right, it is questionable to store the double amount of bone data.It might have some effect on attacks that do not hit a target straight infront of the enemy, but meh. I don't know it doesn't seem like a logical thing :P

We can't have it like CSGO, which would simply be mirroring the rendered pixels of the character (very efficient), because a different dominant hand is more than just a visual change and would actually have an impact on SLO's world (because of different the kinematics of jutsu).
The only working option here is to mirror animations, which is possible, so I would say yes we should see this sort of mechanic in the future of SLO.
